BURGERLAND & COFFEE

The balance between art & commerce takes on a new meaning at both BurgerLand & Coffee Ink, two outlets that bring precisely what their names suggest to Klang (finally!).

First up, BurgerLand, where the walls & pillars are adorned with attractive "3D paintings."

While waiting for their burgers, folks can pose for photos in front of these colorful, cheerful works.

Our top bet at BurgerLand: The Mighty Reunion, featuring juicy-fried chicken thigh, grilled chicken, house-made fish fillet, egg & the works. Messy but scrumptious in a tower-of-sin way. It's interesting to note that BurgerLand currently serves no beef patties (forgot to confirm why).

Rendang chicken & egg burger, exactly what we'd expect of it. Patrons can also customize their burgers; that's something to experiment with if we ever want to courageously/foolishly partner our rendang chicken with mayo, mushrooms, cheese & coleslaw.

Curly fries, to be matched with Sriracha-laced mayo. All in all, possibly worth checking out if you're in Klang or only 30 minutes away via the Kesas highway.

Next up, only a five-minute drive from BurgerLand, there's Coffee Ink, which probably targets a relatively more mature clientele

Plenty of portraits on the walls here too, featuring people, puppies, owls & more; the place has a half-cafe, half-art gallery feel.

Baileys mille-crepe, not particularly boozy but still enjoyable enough.

Try the "Dirty Chai," Coffee Ink's tea-spiked latte. A fun change from the usual.
