CANOODLING

We were there to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The restaurant was warm and cosy and the very first thing that struck me was the ingenuous menu designed to resemble the old school exercise books. I was instantly brought back to my primary school time especially when surrounded by all the childhood buddies.

I arrived quite late that evening owing to car problems. Really sorry to have let the others waited and also missed the chance to ‘test’ more food! hehe

Hainanese Chicken Rice

It is a wholesome bowl of Seafood MeeHoon with lots of tomatoes, mushrooms, pickled veges and of course seafood like prawns, fish slices, and fish balls. The broth is flavorful but somehow it lacks the seafood sweetness. And personally, I would love it if they topped it with some fried onions.

Claypot Seafood. Taste fine but relatively forgettable.

I love this creamy red bean soup that was not too sweet, with a tangy hint of mandarin orange peel flavor.
